This Keto Chocolate Mug Cake definitely helps when you feel the need for some pleasure or comfort food. I found this recipe on the Lazy Keto App among other delicious foods. If you are doing keto you will probably have most of these ingredients on hand. The recipe says to cook in the microwave but I cook mine in the oven. Most of the time I am cooking something anyways. I cook the mug cake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. I also use Lily’s chocolate chips occasionally instead of the block of dark chocolate.

Keto Chocolate Mug Cake
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
- 1 tbsp Erythritol
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp Heavy Cream
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
- Pinch of Sea Salt
- 1 square 99% Dark Chocolate (Optional)
Instructions
- Butter or spray cooking spray inside mugMix cocoa powder and erythritol in mugBeat egg in separate bowl until fluffyAdd mixed egg and the rest of the ingredients inside the mug and mix well(optional) Break up one square of 99% dark chocolate and mix it inMicrowave on high for 45 seconds then at 10 second increments. It should look gooey and jiggly but not watery.I normally bake mine in the oven for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.If there’s some gooey bits left at the bottom of the mug, you can flip it over on to a plate and pour those bits onto the cake like a chocolate sauce!
